Guided Hikes

Nocturnal Night Hike (Guided Hike)

Typically runs 7-9pm – timing can be adjusted

Learn all about nocturnal and diurnal creatures that call Calgary home, such as beavers, bats, owls, flying squirrels and more!

The importance that dark skies have on the plants and animals in an environment and what actions we, as a park are taking to become a nocturnal sanctuary will be discussed. In addition, we will highlight how you can minimize the light pollution of your homes and businesses.

Coexisting with Coyotes and other Wildlife (Guided Hike)

Join our Naturalists for an educational hike in the park where they will dispel the many myths of the misunderstood coyote and other critters and their essential roles in our ecosystem.

Winter Wonders (Guided Hike)

Learn about the many winter adaptation animals have to survive the winter. Find out what animals you might expect to see in Winter in Calgary/Alberta and the ways you can identify them by track patterns you might find in the snow, or other signs they leave behind!
